Fun Cup endurance event brings racing season to a close
02/11/2009 - Snetterton will be racing into darkness on Saturday 14 November as the circuit hosts its final meeting of the year from the BRSCC Fun Cup.
Following a successful event in May, the Fun Cup returns to Norfolk for a unique six hour 'into the night' endurance race.
Based on a concept conceived in Belgium, the Fun Cup was launched in the UK in 2002 and gives drivers the chance to experience close racing in identical 1800cc cars with VW shells.
This weekend's six-hour epic at Snetterton starts in daylight and finishes under darkness, with teams of between two and six drivers competing in each car and mandatory pit stops by every squad.
Night time qualifying will take place on Friday 13 November, to give competitors the chance to adjust to racing in the dark, whilst action for spectators begins on Saturday with qualifying at 9.00am.
There will be a 45 minute Fun Cup sprint race at 10.10am, before the endurance event gets underway at midday.
Tickets for the Fun Cup at Snetterton on Saturday 14 November cost form £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
