Ride In Control provides three simple-to-learn, easy-to-practice, innovative techniques to put any rider of any experience in control of their bike. It’s based at our Snetterton circuit in Norfolk and is an opportunity to learn from some of the UK’s top instructors, in complete safety, allowing full concentration. Anyone can do it, everyone will benefit.

What is it?

A half-day’s riding learning and practicing three essential techniques to put you in control of your bike. Each technique has a pit-lane demo and explanation, then track time to practice, followed by a debrief and more track time to hone your skill.

Who’s it aimed at?

Anyone, from a newly qualified rider to a seasoned pro. It doesn’t matter if you ride an R1150GS or a GSX-R1000. You never stop learning and the InCONTROL techniques will work for anyone. With a maximum of five pupils to one instructor, you’re guaranteed some very personal attention and advice on your course.

Why use a circuit?

Firstly, safety. Using a circuit gives you more road to practise on, with no worries about what’s coming the other way, plenty of safe run-off should you get it wrong and trained marshals on hand. So you can concentrate on the job in hand. Secondly, because you’re riding the same eight corners over and over, you don’t need to worry about being surprised when something tightens up unexpectedly, because it won’t. It makes it easier for riders of different experience and you can’t get lost if there are quicker people than you in your group.

So it’s not a trackday then?

Absolutely not. Ride In Control is all about learning. Speeds will be appropriate for the pupils on track, but carefully monitored and controlled at all times by the instructors. If you’ve never been on a circuit before, the experience of riding around one in absolute safety will make any future trackdays safer, more confident and much more enjoyable.

Anything else I should know?

All riders on any kind of bike are welcome, but you must have suitable riding kit, including zip- together two piece, or a set of one piece leathers.
