05/02/2010 - Reigning National class Formula 3 Champion Daniel McKenzie will join Cheshire driver Oli Webb at Fortec Motorsport this season to launch a challenge on the Cooper Tires British F3 International title.
McKenzie dominated the National class in 2009, winning 11 of the 20 races and only failing to finish once. McKenzie hopes that this strong pace and consistency will pay dividends in the forthcoming season: "You don't have to win every race, nor finish on the podium in every race to win the title, but if you can finish nearly every race and score points like I did last year, then the chances are you will have a fantastic result in the championship."
Fortec's senior race engineer, Mick Kouros is happy with the teams 2010 line up. "After winning the National title last year against tough opposition, Daniel will form a solid team with Oliver Webb. We have a lot of confidence in Daniel's ability and we look forward to another successful season."
The 2010 Cooper Tires British F3 International Series gets underway at Oulton Park over Easter weekend in a double headline with the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, which will feature powerful supercars including Ferraris and Aston Martins.
