Club MSV Trackday Trophy: online registration now open

Booking now available online for inaugural Brands Hatch event this March

04/02/2010 - Online registration has now opened for the Club MSV Trackday Trophy, which launches its maiden season at Brands Hatch on 27 March.

The Trackday Trophy is a new series created by Club MSV, MotorSport Vision's in-house trackday division, to give circuit driving enthusiasts a simple and cost-effective route into motorsport. The series is open to a wide range of cars with a maximum 200bhp/tonne, divided into three power-to-weight categories.

Over 150 drivers have already registered their interest in the Club MSV Trackday Trophy, and competitors can now sign up for the opening event at Brands Hatch on 27 March via the official series website.

Online registration is also open for two pre-season events organised by Club MSV to prepare budding racers for their entry into motorsport. The first is a trackday at Brands Hatch on 18 February where drivers can take their ARDS National B racing licence test, whilst there will be pre-season testing for competitors at the Kent circuit on 16 March.

Alex Baker, Club MSV Manager, said: "By offering online booking for series registration and race events, we are making it as easy as possible for drivers to sign up and take part.

"We want to help drivers every step of the way. Our pre-season trackday is a one stop shop to a National B racing licence, plus we'll have instructors on-hand during our testing day in March to offer advice in the pit lane to help competitors develop their circuit driving skills. We'll also be offering practice starts towards the end of the day."

Each race meeting costs £299 to enter and includes a 30 minute practice/qualifying session followed by a 45 minute race.
