Cadwell Park welcomes the VSCC to Lincolnshire for a unique celebration of all things vintage! An comprehensive race programme will offer a glimpse at the motor-racing boom of the earlier 20th century and the innovative spirit that came with it!
Machinery in action will include early pre-war Grand Prix cars, the likes of which would originally have been raced by legends such as Tazio Nuvolari. These beautiful two-seater machines, a far cry from their contemporary counterparts, are always a sight to see in their natural habitat.
Sportscars of the era are also set to star, bringing a flavour of Le Mans' pioneering years with them, whilst the historic junior formulae are represented by F3 500, one of the categories in which Sir Stirling Moss cut his teeth.
Morgan Three-Wheelers will also be scrapping on track, with
drivers trying to keep all three wheels planted on the circuit's
Don't miss the opportunity also to see these magnificent vehicles up close in the paddock, and speak to the drivers between the races.
The John Holland TrophyThis contest is for bespoke racing machines built during the sport’s vintage years, an era in which seatbelts weren't compulsory it was only the bravest drivers that succeeded.
Shuttleworth, Nuffield and Len Thompson TrophyAn eclectic event with an emphasis on race-prepared machines built before 1961. The Len Thompson machines are race specials with engine capacities up to 1500cc.
The Geoghegan TrophyEvoking memories of the Targa Florio and early editions of Le Mans, this event will be a showcase of sportscar racing’s pioneering age. Grids comprise standard and modified Pre-War sports cars.
The Melville Trophy RaceThis contest is for pre-war sportscars. Frazer Nashes, Rileys, and MGs will dispute the silverware in a contest for road-spec machinery. One of the unique aspects of this series is that the cars have to have been driven to and from the circuit.
The Williams Trophy RaceThe Williams Trophy Race is for 2-seat Gtrand Prix machines raced before 1935. Bugattis and Maseratis from the formative years of Grand Prix racing will look at home on the old school Cadwell Park Circuit.
Fraser Nash/GN CarsThis event will be contested by Frazer Nash sports cars as well as cycle cars from the GN brand. Both marques blossomed during motor racing's infancy.
Morgan Three-WheelersThe Three Wheeler is an integral part of the Morgan Motor Company's history. Similar to motorcycle sidecars, with a steering wheel, these should be thrilling to watch tackling The Mountain!
500cc F3 CarsThese lightweight single-seaters have become a staple of the historic and vintage racing scene, with their lack of power accounted for by their low weight and elbows-out driving! It was in this category that Sir Stirling Moss cut his teeth!
