MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship
Snetterton 300
Friday 13 - Sunday 15 June 2014

The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship blasts into Norfolk on 13/14/15 June.

Snetterton remains one of the fastest circuits on the calendar and the Speedy round of the championship is set for another ferocious contest as championship leader Shane 'Shakey' Byrne bids to return to winning ways.

Last time out at Oulton Park the second race was decided by just 0.1 seconds, and with some of the best spectator views in the country with huge viewing banks and giant TV screens all around Snetterton - you won't miss any of the action!

With an international field featuring a resurgent Ryuichi Kiyonari, American John Hopkins and the Brit pack including Chris Walker, James Ellison and Tommy Bridewell - it's an event not to be missed!

The fabulous '300' circuit at Snetterton provides some of the best views in the country thanks to its multiple elevated viewing areas, and is renowned for intense racing and plenty of overtaking action on its super-fast layout!

Snetterton was transformed in 2011 with the creation of a new infield circuit and huge elevated spectator banks. Click here to see the panoramic views on offer for fans and here to download a map showing the location of the new grandstands and big TV screens.

MCE British Superbike Championship

MCE BSB is regarded as the world's leading domestic bike championship. The machines can reach 200mph and are piloted by some of the best riders on the planet, whilst the racing is fierce and frenetic, attracting a huge following in the UK and beyond.

Motorpoint British Supersport Championship

With a selection of leading manufacturers and riders assembled on the grid, the BSB’s leading support category is a top class series in its own right.

Motul British Motostar

Riders as young as 13 can compete in this series featuring predominantly 125GP bikes, though 2012 also saw the introduction of Moto3 machines. The class class remains the last bastion of two stroke power for young rider development.

Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship

The Pirelli National Superstock 1000 is a series fast developing a reputation for producing top class talent. Many past competitors have graduated to BSB level, so the current crop will be keen to emulate their performances!

Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship

This is the Junior of the two Superstock classes and allows grids of aspiring young riders aged between 16 and 25 cutting their teeth before moving up to the next level.

Triumph Triple Challenge

A competitive one-make series with factory backing. Riders here will be pushing hard to earn a prize ride in the Supersport Cup or Superstock 600. A grid of Triumph Daytona 675Rs take to the track in a battle of the British bruisers.

British Sidecar Championship

Unlike anything else on the MCE BSB package, these beasts have three wheels and two riders. With one man at the helm and the other dancing around to maintain the balance, this offers a very unique form of motorised entertainment.

B-17 FLYING FORTRESS DISPLAY

Visitors on main raceday (Sunday) will be treated to a 10 minute display by the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress. Snetterton's history dates back to World War II with the Norfolk circuit originally an RAF airfield which, from 1943 to 1945, was home to the United States Army Air Force's famed 96th Bombardment Group. The Flying Fortress, Sally B, that will perform the honorary fly-past is stationed permanently at the nearby Imperial War Museum at Duxford and is the last remaining B17 in Europe that's still airworthy.

Following the B17 Display, a GR4 Tornado from nearby RAF Marham will perform a low level fly past. Since entering service in 1979, the Tornado has been a mainstay in the Royal Air Force seeing action in multiple theatres including 2 Gulf Wars and most recently Afghanistan.
