The Vintage Sports-Car Club made their first foray to Norfolk in 2012, with a superbly-received event on the 2 mile Snetterton '200' circuit. The VSCC was formed in 1934 with a cut-off date of vehicles manufactured by 1931 and you will see many fine vintage cars, plus a lot of post-vintage thoroughbreds - cars built between 1931 and 1940 but adhering to earlier standards - plus the best post-war cars such as the Grand Prix and sports racing cars of the 1950s.
With a huge entry list expected this weekend, 90 years of the Austin 7 will be celebrated, as well as the 50th running of the club's Spero and Voiturette Trophy Race for small capacity cars.
Pre 1931 racers will contest the illustrious Vintage Seaman Trophy, featuring a 24 litre Napier Bentley, amongst Morgan three wheelers, and 1950s Sports Racing Cars will recall the legendary Autosport 3 Hour Races. Also from that decade will be 500cc Formula 3 racers.
With plenty more with a period theme to see and do at the venue (click the entertainment tab for details) don't miss a nostalgic throwback to a glorious bygone era!ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.
Vintage Seaman Trophy (Pre-31 Vintage Racing Cars)These are thoroughbred racing machines built and raced before 1931. As well as prizes for each of the podium finishers, there will also be awards for the first car up to 1100cc and the first car between 1101cc and 1500cc.
Historic Seaman and Flockhart TrophyAn eclectic race in which two generations will go head to head. The Historic Seaman machines are from before 1941, whilst the newer Flockhart cars are from before 1961.
Bruce Spollon MemorialA contest for standard and modified pre-war sportscars.
The Mallory MugThis race will feature an extensive selection of special pre-war sportscars. these cars must conform to UK legal standards with working headlights, windscreens, two seats and full size batteries. The Donington Mug is presented to the overall winner.
1950s Sports Racing CarsThese machines are 1950s sports prototypes. Lightweight and streamlined, these cars have a very distinctive look.
500cc F3 CarsThese lightweight single-seaters have become a staple of the historic and vintage racing scene, with their lack of power accounted for by their low weight and elbows-out driving! It was in this category that Sir Stirling Moss cut his teeth!
