The Masters Historic Festival returns to Brands Hatch for its
traditional Bank Holiday weekend of classic racing action.
The FIA Historic Formula One
Championship caters for evocative Grand
Prix cars raced during the 60s, 70 and 80s and features
stirring machinery from the likes of Williams, McLaren, Lotus,
Tyrrell and Arrows.
The FIA Historic Sports Car
Championship recalls the 500 and 1,000km endurance
races from the same period, when spectacular Le Mans
prototypes provided an equally thrilling spectacle.
On the fabulous Grand Prix Circuit, spectators will be able to see
these priceless examples pushed almost to the limit through the
fast and flowing corners which like the cars, remain virtually
unchanged from when they originally raced at Brands in anger.
The event also includes superb competitive action from GTs and
Saloons, amid a Bank Holiday atmosphere of nostalgia.

Brands Hatch will be graced by a world champion and a rock star
next weekend.
Reigning World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff will race against AC/DC front-man Brian Johnson in the Masters Pre-66 Touring Car race, both in Mini Coopers.
F1 V12 Power demonstrations set to stun
Fans will be treated to demonstrations of F1 V12 power over the
weekend as well. Cars confirmed include a BRM P126, P201, a
Lotus-Lamborghini and a Ferrari 312 and will provide a fabulous
sound - and sight - for spectators.

The FIA Masters Historic Formula 1 Championship for Grand Prix cars up to 1985 headlines the annual Masters Historic Festival. Three days of action across the Indy and GP circuits will feature two stunning Formula 1 races from the Cosworth DFV-powered cars, as well as races for Grand Prix cars of an earlier generation on the HGPCA grids catering from 1930s-1950s cars.
There is also a chance to see the ultimate original training category, Formula Junior. The GP2 of its time still provides full grids and great racing from the wingless single-seaters. There will be action from the FIA Masters Historic Sportscar Championship, Pre-66 Touring Cars and Pre-66 GT cars. Add in saloons of the 70s and 80s in the 70s Celebration/JD Classics Challenge grid and 1950s sports cars in the Woodcote Trophy and the weekend is full of nostalgia as well as cracking racing.
Don't miss the chance to get up close to these incredible
machines with a pitwalk at 09:05 on Sunday morning.
