The annual Lotus festival takes place at Brands Hatch this August Bank Holiday weekend, once again taking place on the Grand Prix circuit. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Lotus Cortina as well as Team Lotus' first F1 world championship. The former will be celebrated with a one-off classic touring car race exclusively for the definitive 60s tin top racer, which was campaigned by many of the sporting greats of the period, including Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Jack Sears and Sir John Whitmore.
Meanwhile Classic Team Lotus will be demonstrating some of the great Lotus Formula 1 cars from the outfit's 40-year career in the top echelon of the sport. They will be joined by current and rare products from the Lotus factory, whilst owners and clubs are expected to be taking part in both displays and parades during the weekend.
A full race programme on track is headlined by the Lotus Cup and Elise Trophy series, whilst there will also be action on the Brands Hatch rally stage from Sunbeams and more! Trade stands, live music and club displays add to a carnival atmosphere.
A map of the event will be available here nearer the date. For further information please see the Line Up and FAQs tabs below
