The Vintage Motor Cycle Club has grown in size over recent years with increasing members and more events, and in 2012 they have two weekend events at the sweeping Cadwell Park circuit. The classes span from the Scotts and Norton CS1 of the 1920s, the Norton, AJS and Velocette singles and the Bantam racing classes, through the twins manufactured by Triumph, Norton, BSA, Vincent and AJS and BSSO Classes.
The race meeting will be their final one for 2012 at which most of their champions will be crowned. Classes are run for pre-1949, pre-1963 and pre-1972 solo motorcycles of all capacities along with the new for 2012 BEARS series for race machines based on pre-1986 production base solo motorcycles.
Two rounds of the Landsdown race series will be run each day,
for pure pre-1963 race machines such as Manx Nortons, Matchless
G50s and AJS 7R's giving some very close competitive racing. A
further feature of the weekend is the presence of the Laverda
Owners Club, who will put on display up to 30 bikes and will also
parade the machines around the circuit during the lunch break, led
by Piere Laverda on a BEARS championship
leading racer.
